Recently, the finals of the 2026 Jiangsu Future Industries Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition—hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, organized by the Jiangsu High-Tech Investment Group, and co-organized by the Jiangsu Venture Capital Association—concluded successfully in Nanjing. Changzhou Xingran Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xingran Technology”) won the second prize in the Start-up Category, thanks to its groundbreaking research and industrialization achievements in a megawatt-scale off-grid PEM hydrogen‑production system without energy storage.
This year’s competition adhered rigorously to Jiangsu Province’s “10+X” future‑industry evaluation framework, with a focus on assessing projects’ original innovation capabilities, disruptive technological barriers, commercialization potential, and long-term growth value. Seven experts conducted on‑site reviews, applying a dual‑dimensional scoring approach that balances breakthroughs in foundational “from 0 to 1” technologies with the ability to scale and commercialize “from 1 to 100.”
Changzhou Xingran Technology specializes in the end-to-end R&D and manufacturing of PEM proton exchange membrane hydrogen‑production equipment, possessing a complete suite of proprietary core intellectual property covering catalysts, membrane electrodes, electrolyzers, and system integration. It addresses key challenges in integrating renewable wind and solar power and achieving deep decarbonization in industry, with a technological roadmap fully aligned with the province’s strategic direction for fostering a green hydrogen economy.
During the final pitch session, Xingran Technology comprehensively showcased its innovative capabilities, highlighting its proprietary technologies spanning the entire PEM hydrogen‑production value chain, the successful deployment of large‑scale off‑grid hydrogen‑production projects, and multiple authoritative technical assessments. Leveraging core strengths such as cost competitiveness, stable performance, and broad adaptability, the company earned high praise from the judging panel and ultimately secured second place in the Startup Category.

The Jiangsu Future Industries Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition serves as a key initiative for implementing the “Jiangsu Province Three-Year Action Plan for Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of Future Industries (2024–2026),” while also functioning as a core channel through which the Provincial Strategic Emerging Industries Fund Cluster identifies high‑quality projects. It has established an end-to-end nurturing mechanism that integrates “competition showcase, project selection, and fund empowerment.” In the first two editions of the competition, 11 winning enterprises have secured over RMB 100 million in investment from the provincial strategic emerging industries fund, fostering a virtuous cycle of “using competitions to drive investment, and using investment to boost industrial development.”
Under the competition’s policies, winning projects will be given priority for recommendation to Jiangsu Province’s Emerging Industry Fund Cluster and will receive ongoing follow-up support. This award is the highest recognition of Xingran Technology’s commitment to equally prioritizing both “original innovation” and “industrialization implementation.”
Looking ahead, Xingran Technology will continue to leverage Jiangsu’s robust industrial ecosystem, steadily increase R&D investment, and accelerate the iterative development and mass production of next-generation, high‑efficiency, low‑cost PEM hydrogen‑production equipment. The company will also advance the domestic substitution of hydrogen‑energy equipment, harnessing its cutting‑edge scientific and technological capabilities to drive the high‑quality growth of Jiangsu’s green hydrogen industry and provide domestically produced, high‑end hydrogen‑production solutions to support the nationwide implementation of the dual carbon goals.
